We specialise in conducting functional assessments to evaluate your ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). We assess your mobility, self-care skills, home management tasks, meal preparation, medication management, and other essential activities. These assessments help us identify areas where you may require support and recommend strategies such as home modifications or equipment to enhance your independence and quality of life.
Safety is paramount, especially when it comes to home care. We conduct thorough safety assessments to identify potential hazards within your home environment. We evaluate factors such as lighting, flooring, furniture placement, assistive devices, and accessibility. By identifying and addressing safety concerns, we can minimise risks and create a safe living environment that promotes your well-being and reduces the likelihood of falls or injuries. We also specialise in conducting cognitive assessments to evaluate your cognitive functioning, memory, attention, and visuospatial abilities. We may recommend cognitive exercises, memory aids, or environmental modifications to support your well-being and independence.
Home care packages are available to people aged 65 or older (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) and require an ACAT assessment. Go to https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/ (see link below) for more information or to start the application process. If you already have a Home Care Package, we accept referrals from your Home Care Provider.
